The Simple Joys of a Clothesline

This is a bit off topic, but I thought I would post this for fun.

After picking vegetables from our garden and making dinner, we finally sat down for a beautiful dinner. The table was filled with squash, zucchini, hot dogs, and other fun goodies! As we were eating, to our surprise a smoke alarm went off. Then another. After the few seconds that three went off, we rushed to see the problem. In the laundry room, our dryer was on fire! After all of us working together, we finally doused the fire. Our fears were mixed with emotions as we thought about having no dryer to use. What would we do?

We finally gave in and made a make-shift clothesline. I never really thought about how wonderful such a simple thing could be. It is amazing after hundreds of years of countless inventions to make our daily lives easier that we finally revert back to the simplest things, but those things make us happy. It really fills you with memories of simpler times. We figure out that simplicity is it's own unique beauty. As you read this story, think what simple things you can do.
